This tour is for all ages so bring your family for a fun-filled adventure into the woods. This tour starts when we pick you up from your Lodging. Total travel time is included in this tour. Travel time and to and from tour site by van is approximately 1 hour. During that time we love to tell stories of our lives here in Alaska. All of our guides for this tour are local Alaskans.
Once we reach the tour site, we will give you rubber boots to change into. We also have gloves, raingear or ponchos available if you would like them. Helmets are not required for this tour. You will be riding in 8-wheeled Argos. For safety reasons, our Argos will not have a top on them while we are out on the tour. Our guides do all the driving and all you need to do is hang on and have fun! Our goal is to reach the tundra so you can experience how different it is to stand and walk on it.
We limit the number of guests per each Argo to four guests with one guide. If you have more in your family, we may add one more to your Argo. If you are traveling with a group of friends, we also cater to you and can add extra Argos to carry everyone out together at the same time. These Argos go at a slow speed so there is no danger of anyone falling out. We will be traveling on our trails through the woods and you will twist, turn and bounce your way into the wilderness with your experienced guide navigating the way.
Learn about the different plants and animals. Do you know how big a bear is just by looking at its tracks? Your guides do! So can you, so come along and learn for yourself. When in season, we pick delicious Alaskan berries. This is a very informative tour that is great for all ages. We allow from 1 year old and up! Also, if you have other tours that you are on, we do allow for children from 8 years and older to go on this tour without their parents. A waiver must be signed in front of one of our guides in order for these children to go without their parents.
Since we will be driving on trails instead of roads, this tour is not recommended for pregnant women or those with bad backs. Bring your camera as we are always on the lookout for wildlife.
